joints in the water. Therefore learning to swim can open a whole new lifestyle.
No one is ever too old or young to learn to swim be it for exercise, relaxation
or just personal achievements our swimming lesson program offers something for
everyone. Canons aims to provide a quality service for children and adults of all ages and abilities through a
team of professional, fully qualified, and experienced instructors. Small classes, a friendly atmosphere
and co-operative staff are guaranteed in this 25 metre, modern, heated, indoor swimming pool.
Which Class?
The Kellogg's Frosties ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) Awards Scheme
is the most successful in British amateur sport. The program we offer here
at Canons is the Asa Water Skills and Challenge Awards ranges. All of our
awards are now therefore accompanied by a full colour certificate and sew on

Crash courses
Concentrated four or five day courses are offered during Easter and Summer holidays and October
Half-Term with a range of beginner classes for children and adults who prefer this approach to teaching.
ASA Lessons
ASA lessons are taught by trainee Swimming Instructors under the guidance of a fully qualified ASA
Tutor. Special rates apply for these highly successful and popular courses.
Review
The swimming ability of each individual is reviewed by the Swimming Instructor on the 1st and 9th
week of lessons, therefore some disruption is to be expected. This review is for the Swimming Instructors'
benefit only and is used to develop lesson plans and to group individuals by ability in accordance with our
aims.
Viewing
NO parents are allowed to remain on the poolside, a viewing gallery is available upstairs.
