
SPORTS CENTRE
Regulations for the safety of members and all other
users of the Sports Centre
GENERAL
1.
Membership is on an annual basis but can be
paid in 12 instalments by monthly direct debit.
2.
Membership cards shall be shown on request
and members should swipe their cards on each visit.
3.
No child under the age of 16 shall be
admitted or allowed to remain on the premises unless
accompanied by an adult member.
4.
All guests shall be signed in at reception
upon arrival. This is the responsibility of the
introducing member.
5.
Each guest shall be accompanied by an adult
member at all times.
6.
No guest may visit more than six times in any
one year.
7.
No outdoor footwear shall be worn in the
sports hall, changing rooms or on the poolside.
8.
Casual viewing is not permitted on the
poolside.
9.
Smoking is not allowed in the building, or
anywhere within the grounds of the school.
10.No food is to be consumed in the changing rooms,
poolside, sports hall or fitness suite.
11.Glass bottles or glass of any sort shall not be
permitted in the building.
12.Any accident must be reported to a member of
staff. It is the duty of the club member or guest
to ensure that any accident is recorded in the
accident log book.
13.No child under 16 shall be permitted in the
fitness studio.
14.Due care should be taken when handling/using
equipment in the centre.
15.The management reserves the right to vary the
hours of use and refuse admission.
16.Anyone abusing the facilities or causing
malicious or unnecessary disturbance shall be asked
to leave.
SWIMMING POOL
17.Limited
numbers use the swimming pool at any one time. The
nature of the relationship between swimming pool
management and the pool user make it practicable to
enforce “house rules” or regulations, which are
provided for the safe behaviour by users.
18.All users are reminded of the dangers that are
present in the swimming pool area. Parents shall
strictly supervise their own children and those in
their care. All non-swimmers are encouraged to wear
armbands.
19.Qualified staff are in attendance in the building
and are available for assistance when required.
20.Barrier ropes with a sign ‘no swimming’ are
fitted to the entrance to the swimming pool from the
changing rooms. When in the closed position they are
used to indicate to all adults and children that the
swimming pool is not to be used under any
circumstances.
21.Facemasks, flippers, rubber rings, inflatables,
boats and ball games are not allowed.
22.All children shall be accompanied in the pool by
an adult member, at all times.
23.Diving is only allowed in the deep end.
24.Throwing, pushing, ducking, and running or any
behaviour that is considered by the staff to be
unsafe or a nuisance is forbidden.
